Flower Mound named No. 1 Best Place to Live in the Southwest

Flower Mound has grabbed yet another top ranking, landing at No. 1 on Livability’s new Top 25 Best Places to Live in the Southwest list.

After noting Flower Mound’s bloom-filled flower mound, Livability continues, “Beyond the beauty and blooms, there are safe neighborhoods, excellent schools, low property taxes, great medical care and a section of the town that borders Grapevine Lake.”

They note that Flower Mound has 1,000 acres of parkland, including Heritage Park, a local favorite with a splash pad, performance pavilion, 18-hole disc golf course, waterfall and five-acre dog park. There’s also the outdoor waterpark at the Flower Mound CAC Pool, the beaches at Lake Grapevine, and 12 miles of equestrian trails in town.

Livability also touts the many events which help Flower Mound preserve its small-town spirit within one of the country’s largest metroplexes. The Easter Egg Scramble, Chalk the Walk fest, and holiday parade and tree-lighting ceremony are just a few of Flower Mound’s annual events.

Livability is a research organization that uses education, sustainability, transportation, housing and economic data to develop rankings for small to mid-sized cities. Flower Mound’s No. 1 ranking was determined based on nearly 100 data points, including neighborhood safety, schools, property taxes, medical care, and parks and recreation amenities.

This is only the latest kudo for Flower Mound. In June, the town was ranked as the No. 2 Best Place to Live in America by Livability.

Canyon Falls is proud to be part of Flower Mound as well as Argyle and Northlake. Explore our location.
