Northwest ISD ranks among the top 10% of the Texas school districts analyzed in 2022 Niche rankings
The Northwest Independent School District ranks as the No. 3 Best School District in Denton County in the 2022 school rankings from Niche, which ranks schools, colleges and places to live nationwide based on public data and user reviews.
Niche gives Argyle ISD an overall A- grade, with additional A grades marks for Academics, College Prep, and Clubs & Activities.
Other top Niche rankings for Northwest ISD include No. 3 Best School District for Athletes in Denton County, and No. 5 Safest School District in Denton County.
Statewide, Northwest ISD ranks among the top 10% of the 1,018 Texas school districts analyzed by Niche.
The Northwest ISD campuses zoned to Canyon Falls also received strong 2022 Niche report cards.
Pike Middle School has an overall A- grade, with an A- for Academics and a B+ for Teachers.
Northwest High School has an B+ overall Niche grade, with more B+ grades for Academics, College Prep, and Clubs & Activities.
Lance Thompson Elementary, opened in 2019, is too new to rank, because it takes several years of test data for Niche to rank schools. We are optimistic about future rankings for this state-of-the-art school, which has several features suggested by students during the design process, including a Learning Commons where kids in all grade levels can collaborate on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math) projects.
