Join a Canyon Falls social club – or start a new one

As a very neighborly community, Canyon Falls has several ways to help residents become friends, whether it’s meeting for the first time at an activity or special event, or just getting to know each other while out enjoying the trails, Pooch Park and other amenities.

Groups and clubs are another way Canyon Falls helps to foster friendships among residents with shared interests.

Canyon Falls supports existing groups in emails and other communications to residents, and encourages them to form new groups if they don’t find one that matches their passions. Groups and clubs also enjoy priority reservations for meeting space at the Canyon Falls Club and other amenities.

Here’s a summary of active resident-led social groups and clubs at Canyon Falls. With new families joining our community every week, coming from North Texas and across the country (and in some cases, from across the globe), we’re sure this list will continue to grow. (Canyon Falls residents can log on to the HOA website for more info on clubs and how to join them.)

Cars & Coffee

One of our newer social groups, Cars & Coffee meets periodically at the Canyon Falls Club to celebrate all things automotive. From classic cars to modern hot rods, a wide variety of vehicles are showcased for all to admire in the parking lot, with coffee and other treats adding to the fun.

Free Birds

The Free Birds group is open to any Canyon Falls resident who wants to gather and meet other neighbors whose little chicks have grown up and left the nest. With more than 100 members, this group meets monthly, hosting socials at the Canyon Falls Club as well as field trips and other fun activities.

Ladies' Wine Social

The Ladies’ Wine Social is open to any Canyon Falls resident who wants to meet neighbors and enjoy a glass of wine. With more than 400 members, this is one of our largest groups, meeting monthly.

Ladies’ Bunco

Another large and lively Canyon Falls club, the Ladies’ Bunco Group gets together to play bunco and connect with new and old friends. Like most groups, they have their own Facebook page to keep members updated.

Homeschoolers

The Homeschoolers Group is open to current homeschoolers and prospective homeschoolers within the community who would like to socialize and make new friends in the community.

Church of Jesus Christ Families in Canyon Falls

Church of Jesus Christ Families in Canyon Falls Group is open to any Canyon Falls resident, regardless of religious affiliation, who wants to gather to socialize, network, and support each other. This group meets quarterly on the first Saturday of the month.

 Parents of Preschoolers

One of the newest groups at Canyon Falls, Parents of Preschoolers (POP) creates play date opportunities for toddlers and their parents, with activities such as crafting, storytelling and more.

Poker Group

With more than 100 members, the Poker Group meets once every two months, welcoming residents of all skill levels, including beginners.  A standing BYOB invitation adds to the fun.

Small Business Networking Group

Canyon Falls residents are among the most successful professionals in their respective fields, and the Small Business Networking Group helps them grow and thrive while supporting each other. Right now, it’s one of our smaller groups, but it’s growing fast.
