From the $200,000s Beazer, Pulte offer homes designed for the way families live today

Canyon Falls offers new homes priced from the high $200,000s by two leading national builders, Beazer and Pulte. We recently visited both builders to find out what’s new and trending in Canyon Falls. Here are the highlights.

Beazer
Beazer offers new homes in the Highpoint neighborhood of Canyon Falls, located near a planned scenic pond and a recreation center with a swimming pool. Part of the highly regarded Northwest Independent School District, Highpoint also offers quick and easy access to I-35 West and FM 1171.

Beazer’s top-selling floor plan in Highpoint is the two-story Brookhaven, the same plan showcased as its model.

Beazer sales consultant Travis Johannsen said buyers love the 18-foot-high ceilings in this model’s great room. They also like the way the family area flows into the kitchen and overlooks the covered patio.

“This model has a very open concept with lots of windows. It makes you feel happy to be in here,” Johannsen said. “Buyers also love the large secondary bedrooms and upstairs loft.”

Beazer’s Choice Plans options let buyers customize their homes for their personal preferences, said sales consultant Sharon Owens.

“With Choice Plans, buyers get more options and less compromise,” she said. “They can choose from different kitchen and owner suite bathroom layouts, build a room off the foyer as a study or formal dining room, and choose from many other flex options.”

Owens said that Highpoint is drawing a wide variety of homebuyers, from empty-nesters wanting to scale down to a single-story homes, to growing families moving up to their second and third new homes.

Pulte
Pulte’s plans in the Canyon Falls neighborhood of Westborough have been literally designed with the help of homebuyers from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and throughout the nation.

Sales consultant Michael Anderson said Pulte has built temporary model homes across the country and has invited home shopper to share what they like and don’t like about the designs.

“Pulte has gathered over 1,000 hours of consumer input since we started this program,” Anderson said. “In fact, one of our recent homebuyers participated in the research in the Dallas area. They bought a new Pulte home in Canyon Falls because we listened and designed our new homes around what they said they wanted.”

Today’s homebuyers want open concept plans with large gourmet kitchens, outdoor living areas, and no wasted space, Anderson said.

“These features have become Pulte signatures,” Anderson said.

Pulte’s bestselling plans in Westborough include the one-story Weymouth, a three-bedroom home with an open island kitchen that’s convenient to the dining area, the spacious great room and the planning center.

The two-story Carissa, showcased as Pulte’s decorated model home in Canyon Falls, is another strong seller. Most of the living space is on the first floor, with a large gameroom and third bedroom upstairs. Options include a media room and extra bedroom.

Located in Northwest ISD, Westborough offers scenic topography, Anderson said. “There’s a very nice rise and fall to the land, which creates a beautiful street scene and a feeling of openness and spaciousness. It’s a very nice and quiet country feeling,” he said.
